04/24/2006 - In collaboration with ZUMTOBEL and the EOOS design studio, LEDON has developed a revolutionary new LED spotlight. TEMPURA owes its impressive product features to the innovative LEXEL TM technology: a perfectly-matched combination of design, optics, thermo-management and lighting management. The colour temperature of the light can be adjusted accurately and incrementally as required from 2500K to 6500K. The luminous flux of 1000 lumens - which corresponds to the level of a classic 100 W halogen lamp - is constant throughout the service life. Two control options are available for selective adjustment of the required colour temperature and brightness: manual control via momentary-action switch, and bus-signal control via a DALI track. When integrated in a DALI lighting management system, dynamic lighting and colour sequences can also be implemented. TEMPURA has a general flood beam of 16°, which can be expanded to 25° and 40° using lens attachments. The light cone contains no heat or ultraviolet radiation. Ideal for use in museums and the high-quality retail sector, because attractive lighting scenarios, which have previously been impossible with sensitive objects, surfaces and materials, can now be realised. At the same time, TEMPURA provides high efficiency and sustainability. With power consumption of only 40 W - 75 W, the spotlight can operate for 50,000 hours - 12 years, operating for 12 hours daily - without any loss of lighting quality. This means freedom from maintenance and energy savings of 50 percent by comparison with halogen-lamp technology. TEMPURA therefore also represents a pioneering alternative to conventional lighting systems with regard to environmental protection and the conservation of natural resources.
