LuxDrive releases a linear light engine LuxStrip, with driver on board

07/27/2006 - Randolph, Vermont - LuxDrive, a division of LEDdynamics, Inc., announced the introduction of its LuxStrip 6007, a powerful, compact light engine built on metal core PCB and thermally engineered to accommodate high brightness LEDs.

On board, the LED Power Module is a true constant-current regulated driver for LEDs using the LuxDrive puck series of drivers. Unlike traditional MCPCBs, the driver for these LEDs is contained conveniently on board, allowing power supplies which deliver a fixed voltage (such as 24 Volts DC) to be used.

Utilizing driver on board technology allows the entire unit to easily be integrated into fixtures where space is at a premium while simplifying installation skill level.
As a standard offering at 12-inch the LuxStrip 6007 comes with up to six LUXEON devices. Power can be “end fed” at either end of the strip and utilizes a unique non-polarized connection for goof proof assembly. Using a joiner connector, several strips can be attached together (up to 10 feet typical).

The LuxStrip 6007 is a perfect solution for applications such as general lighting applications, fluorescent replacement, sign or channel letters, or architectural lighting applications.
