In July 2026, Zhaga published updated editions of two specifications for outdoor LED lighting: Book 15 Edition 1.3 and Book 19 Edition 1.4. Both cover rectangular LED modules used in roadway, pathway and outdoor-area lighting, where optical precision and long-term serviceability matter.

The updates expand what is available to designers. Book 15 Ed. 1.3 introduces four new DA form factors — 2×3, 2×6, 2×9 and 2×12 — and adds support for 5050 LED packages with a tighter LED pitch, allowing modules to deliver higher luminous flux at the same drive current, or the same output at improved efficiency. Book 19 Ed. 1.4 adds a new 3×8-IP category and carries the same 5050 support, extending an approach that builds ingress protection directly into the module-lens interface and removes the need for a separate protective cover.
