Future Lighting Solutions Launches Offline Lighting System Selector Mobile App for iOS and Android

Future Lighting Solutions (FLS), a leading provider of solid-state lighting, engineering expertise and design tools, is proud to announce the launch of their new offline Lighting System Selector for iOS and Android devices.

The Lighting System Selector is the first mobile app that enables users to quickly select all the system components to develop a luminaire, without the need for online connectivity. It instantly processes thousands of products such as light sources, LED drivers, optics, holders, heat sinks, and controls solutions, and suggests the most appropriate options based on lighting application requirements. The app also generates PDF and Excel reports that function as custom-made brochures to start the luminaire design process.

"We focused our efforts on making the Lighting System Selector the most user-friendly and accessible lighting component selection tool, while still incorporating the latest FLS proprietary lighting system design optimization algorithms," said Patrick Durand, Worldwide Technical Director at Future Lighting Solutions. "Whether in the office, on a plane, or wherever inspiration strikes, users can start a luminaire design project conveniently and without compromise."

The new offline Lighting System Selector delivers all the functionality of the online tools which FLS customers have relied upon for years. "We have been leveraging the FLS online design tools for several years, where they play a critical role in our luminaire designs," said Michael Simla, Chief Technology Officer at Lumenwerx. "The Lighting System Selector allows for efficient evaluation of multiple component options, with an optimal user experience to quickly make the right informed design decisions."

The Lighting System Selector app is the latest example of how Future Lighting Solutions continues to deliver the highest quality solid-state lighting solutions to their customers. The Lighting System Selector supports both phones and tablets, and is available for free download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
