Permlight Introduces Three New or Upgraded LED Products

Permlight annouced upgrades of the ENBS multi-purpose LED Flood Light and released a new "green" version of the modular LEDtrack system for cabinet, cove and linear lighting as well as a bright, ultra-low energy LED module, the TwisterTM "STAR" series.

Permlight releases the 753 TwisterTM STAR series. The STAR is an "energy miser" with an ultra-low power consumption of 1 watt per foot. The 753 series is perfect for illuminating small to medium sized signs and channel letters with 1/3 the power consumption of industry similar brightness LED modules and typically 1/6 compared to neon.

The 753 uses an LED designed for the demanding automotive industry, mounted on the "old tried and true" TwisterTM platform which has over five years of field proven reliability. The STAR series is pre-wired with two modules per linear foot, guaranteeing proper spacing of the individual LED. Mounting to metal signs is simple with the supplied VHB peel and stick tape. The 753 is powered by the industry standard 12 volts DC with Permlight™s 60 watt, 240 watt and 480 watt remote power supplies or any other manufacturer's power supply approved in writing by Permlight.

The 753 fills a niche between Permlight's most economical TwisterTM 752 series and the industry leading brightness El Plato 747 module. The series is available in "ruby" red and "neon" white, with other LED colors available by special order. UL listed product (all Permlight LED sign modules are UR recognized components) is available for immediate delivery.

The ENBS now ships with an adjustable standard "yoke" mount bracket and watertight NEMA connectors on a 3 foot supplied cord. The ENBS consumes about 13 Watts with similar light output to 65 watt incandescent or 26W fluorescent. The flood light includes a built-in converter for direct 120, 240 or 277VAC line voltage operation that simplifies and reduces installation cost.

The ENBS has been used in the field for several years for wall washing, non-illuminated sign lighting and architectural highlighting. The upgraded features simplify mounting, further reduce maintenance and eliminate water damage. The ENBS features LED in amber, red, green and blue, and warm "halogen" white (approximately 3500 Kelvin). The ENBS offers an expected lifetime of 30 years in home environments and 10 years in retail and commercial environments. Permlight™s entire Enbryten line of LED luminaires, including the ENBS, complies with California™s Title 22 regulation which legislates against the disposal of any hazardous waste such as mercury (contained in fluorescent). The series contains no hazardous materials and features the same construction as the award winning Green Building product of the year, the 6" adjustable down light.

Future ENBS versions and upgrades include low voltage 12-24VAC or DC input, IP67 (water submersible for 30 minutes at 3 foot depth), twice the energy reduction, and a new smaller, lighter die cast case to further reduce price.

"Green" Modular LED Track System for Cabinet, Cove and Linear Lighting
 Permlight announces the release of an industry leading energy efficient "green" modular LED track system for use in linear lighting for residential, retail and commercial applications. Simple to install, the ENBT is also the brightest system on the market, surpassing fluorescent products in performance with lower energy consumption and no "bulbs" to break or replace. The ENBT system contains no hazardous materials and features similar construction to Permlight™s award winning Green Building product of the year, the 6" LED downlight.

The ENBT is ideal for under or over kitchen cabinets. The track is less than half an inch high and the ultra low profile provides a clean, attractive "hidden" installation. The system's 120VAC line input and 7.5VDC low voltage output allows cabinet lights to be mounted near the front of the cabinet for superior and even lighting. This is not possible with most high voltage systems which must be mounted against the wall or backsplash per electrical code. The ENBT is also perfect for lighting cove, soffit or other architectural features.

The ENBT features warm "halogen white" (3500 Kelvin) LED from Nichia of Japan and offers an expected lifetime of 30 years in home environments and 10 years in retail and commercial environments. The product also features patented and patent pending technology which allows dimming with off-the-shelf 120V electronic low voltage 3-wire dimmers and modular technology so that LED modules can be changed easily. The product is available in lengths of 16" or 34" and can be powered by either a non-dimmable plug-in power supply or a dimmable remote hardwired version. The ENBT can be installed "as is" or cut with hacksaw to custom length. Track sections can be joined together with integral "poke-in" surface mount connectors that accept the recommended (not supplied) 18 gauge solid or stranded wire.
