Fan Efficiency, An Increasingly Important Selection Criteria

How important is fan efficiency in the selection of a cooling system? Selecting a cooling fan is no longer about airflow and noise. The true test for a design engineer is the understanding that by selecting an efficient cooling fan system savings in cost of ownership can be realized.
