New LUXEON® Altilon SMD-A: The Thinnest, Single-Chip Addressable Package for High Performance, Automotive Forward Lighting Lumileds’ new LUXEON Altilon SMD-A is designed to support today’s most demanding automotive headlighting applications including front fog, low and high beam, and adaptive driving beam (ADB). It is the thinnest single-chip addressable LED. Its package design leverages compatibility with Al-IMS to ensure cost efficient reflow soldering robustness, a Cu-based leadframe for higher thermal capabilities and is fully compatible with metal core PCBs. The unique package increases contrast and luminance and with a Moisture Sensitivity Level of 1, the LUXEON Altilon SMD-A requires no special handling, packaging, or storage to protect it from moisture.
