Electrolube Provides Innovative Resin Solution for LED Lens Issue

Electrolube, the global manufacturer of electro-chemicals, has provided an innovative solution for a complex LED assembly issue. The customer, a leading manufacturer of street lighting and high-bay luminaires in India, had been experiencing problems with the attachment of individual lenses to the elements of multiple LED arrays. The function of these lenses is to scatter or focus light from the arrays, as required, and while some of them are held in position by fasteners, most are secured in place with a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism is perfectly adequate when the luminaire is placed in situ but it tends to loosen during transportation, leading to the lenses becoming detached and causing damage to the array. For UV-B and UV-C emitters, the measurement of their spectrum between 325 nm down to 200 nm is generally only possible with extended measurement times due to their low radiant flux. Goniometer LGS 650: Higher Accuracy and Reproducibility

Goniophotometry is an absolute measuring procedure that can achieve a higher level of accuracy than sphere photometry. It does not require a luminous flux standard, but in contrast is often used for calibrating standard lamps for luminous flux. In addition to the luminous flux, photometric spatial radiation properties, so-called luminous intensity distribution curves and the colorimetric distribution of radiation emitted from a light source can be determined. Nanosilica Filled Epoxy with High Abrasion Resistance

Master Bond EP30NS is a two component epoxy system that cures at room temperature or more rapidly at elevated temperatures. It is optically clear especially in thin sections and can be used as an adhesive, sealant, coating and encapsulation compound.
