Industry Mourns the Passing of Roland Haitz, age 80, Pioneer of the Solid-State Lighting Revolution

Dr. Haitz was one of very few visionaries. Haitz’s Law, which is the equivalent for LEDs and lighting what Moore’s Law is for transistors and integrated circuits, provided the roadmap for LED-based lighting Dr. Roland Haitz, a pioneer of the solid-state lighting revolution and an engine of innovation throughout his career, has passed away at the age of 80 at his home in Portola Valley, California.
