Signify, the world leader in lighting, is increasing its UV-C lighting production capacity and expanding its UV-C product portfolio. The company is leveraging more than 35 years of expertise in UV-C lighting to address the growing global need for the disinfection of air, surfaces and objects.
Rich document Active Grow Launches UL Listed LoPro Max Horticultural Luminaires for Commercial and Home Growers
Active Grow, the sustainable horticultural lighting manufacturer, is proud to announce the launch of its LoPro Max 640W and 320W horticultural luminaires. These lightweight, UL Listed fixtures conveniently replace 600-1000 W and 400-600 W HPS lights in vertical racking or sea of green commercial applications, using nearly half the energy and producing half the heat. The concealed-driver design means no messy cabling or bulky external drivers. The ultra-thin profile (just 2.47") allows the luminaires to go to work in spaces with minimal vertical clearance. Integrated dimming and a tool-less installation make these fixtures perfect options for home growers with tents or hydroponic benches.
Rich document Inova Semiconductors - AEC-Q100 Qualified Standalone ISELED LED Driver & Controller in Volume Production
In addition to its LED driver/controller die, integrated in smart ISELED LED modules, Inova Semiconductors offers the driver chip as a standalone solution. The standalone ISELED driver is now available in volume production and is AEC-Q100 qualified. The INLC10AQ (originally introduced as INLC100Q16) will be used to construct custom LED chains that can be controlled via a bidirectional two-wire differential bus, enabling up to 4079 daisy-chained LED driver & controller devices in a single array. Additionally, smart LED modules integrating both the driver & controller and RGB LEDs in one single package are available from different vendors both in high volume and automotive qualified. Both the integrated LED modules and the standalone solution enable innovative solutions in ambient lighting, roof lighting, display backlight and functional lighting.
Rich document IES and IUVA Collaborate to Publish ANSI Standards for Measuring Ultraviolet C-Band (UV-C) Sources Used for Disinfection
The Illuminating Engineering Society (IES, est. 1906) and the International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA, est. 1999) have partnered to assemble experts in the measurement of ultraviolet C-band emissions (UV-C) to develop American National Standards for the measurement and characterization of UV-C device performance. UV-C devices for healthcare and personal care have proliferated in recent years, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, despite the absence of standards to enable accurate measurements and comparisons of the products. Through this partnership IES and IUVA aim to cooperatively promote awareness of and improve the application of ultraviolet "disinfection" technology in the healthcare system, initially through the development of standardized methods of measurement of ultraviolet "disinfection" products including UV lamps, luminaires and lighting/radiating systems, utilizing both discharge (e.g. low-pressure mercury and xenon) and solid-state (e.g. light-emitting diode) technologies.
Rich document Minimalism and Magic - New Members of the Nimbus Q Four Family: Q Four TT, Q Four IN and Q Four Track
The new members of the Nimbus Q Four family of luminaires – Q Four TT, Q Four IN and Q Four Track – display an excellent, almost "magical" lighting effect. Nimbus's core idea with the Q ONE and Q Four ceiling luminaires was to create a lighting kit for high-quality, focused light. The first Q One and Q Four models were launched two years ago. Now three further versions have been added to the Q Four family of luminaires: the tilting and turning Q Four TT spotlight, the Q Four IN for flush mounting on the ceiling and the Q Four Track, which is mounted on a conductor rail. One reason for their excellent light quality is the Bartenbach LFO lens, which focuses light on the surface to be illuminated in a targeted manner. As Dietrich F. Brennenstuhl, CEO of the Nimbus Group, stated: "A light from an invisible source that immediately lends the illuminated object a certain magic.
