Traxon's Mesh RGB Receives the "Red Dot Award 2009"

Since receiving the first red dot award in 2003, followed by numerous other prestigious awards, Traxon has once again been rewarded for its outstanding product: Traxon's Mesh RGB, a modular system of LED modules, has received the red dot distinction for high design quality in the product design category.

With over 3,200 entries from 49 countries, the red dot design award ranks among the largest design competitions worldwide. While most LED lighting manufacturers solely focus on functionality, the Mesh RGB reflects Traxon's philosophy of combining outstanding product design with cutting edge LED technology.

Traxon Mesh RGB is a highly versatile, modular system of LED modules that provides the perfect all-purpose solution for challenging surfaces where unique, eye-catching decoration is desired. A low profile and easy mounting give the Traxon Mesh RGB a decisive advantage over conventional LED screens and products. Each Mesh unit comprises eight grid-elements, connected by flexible joints, giving it the ability to contour the most demanding surfaces. One Mesh comprises five strings each with 32 high performance LEDs resulting in 160 individually controllable pixels per Mesh unit. The control possibilities range from DMX over DVI and its IP-67 rated UV-resistant material makes it suitable for a variety of outdoor applications. Furthermore the Mesh RGB can serve as a room divider by combining two units back to back with its refined and simple-to-use clipping system.
 
Another outstanding feature of the Mesh RGB is its compatibility with Traxon’s innovative TX Connect™ Smart. TX Connect™ Smart is a universal connector system across all TX Smart products, combining both power and data in a single cable. The cables are easy to connect and ensure a less time-consuming installation process. The system is a one-fits-all solution; each cable can be connected to every product of Traxon’s Smart LED fixture range. The elaborate system allows full flexibility in lighting installations, enabling combinations of different TX Smart fixtures without tedious adapter cables. A straightforward range of TX Connect™ Smart elements ensures simple wiring of TX LED Fixtures, TX Control, and TX Power units for a fully integrated lighting solution.
 
The red dot award 2009, an achievement of the company’s innovative spirit and R & D efforts, is Traxon’s first award in 2009 and represents only the beginning of a succsessful year.

Red dot design award, as a seal of quality, is the largest international design competition in the world. Every year, a group of jury made up of renowned designers and experts from all over the world strictly evaluate submitted products based on a wide variety of criteria such as degree of innovation, functionally, ergonomics, and ecological compatibility. The “red dot award: product design 2009” attracted around 1,400 companies from 49 countries. The festive awards presentation will take place on 29 June 2009 in the Essen opera house, Aalto Theatre, Germany.
