Constant Current Converters for Outdoor Applications

The TALEXXconverter LCAI 2x38 W and 2x50 W one4all units are tough enough to withstand harsh outdoor conditions. In their rugged casings they can easily deal with temperature fluctuations and high levels of humidity. They also feature the "chronoSTEP" function that automatically adjusts the brightness level to suit conditions.

More and more streets, parks, paths, public squares and façades are being illuminated with LEDs, not least because these economical light sources save large amounts of money. For LED systems to operate reliably outdoors and produce efficient light they need control gear that is tailored to such applications. TALEXXconverters LCAI 2x38 W and 2x50 W one4all have all the properties needed to provide efficient LED light in outdoor applications. They have integrated overtemperature and overload protection and automatically disconnect in the event of a short-circuit. Restarts are then also automatic.

Brightness as required:
The brightness level can be controlled centrally or automatically via the "chronoSTEP" function. In automatic mode preprogrammed parameters ensure that the illuminance is reduced during off-peak times, such as at night, or if the area covered is being little used. For supplying the LEDs there are two output channels that can take different current levels. The constant current can be set to any value between 300 mA and 700 mA and the total output of the converter can be individually distributed among the two output circuits. This gives luminaire manufacturers design options within a luminaire without the need for intervention in the luminaire. The control gear therefore combines a high degree of flexibility and efficiency with the necessary level of safety.

Integration in lighting control systems:
The one4all interface enables LED lighting systems to be integrated in different lighting control systems, right up to a DALI light management system which itself offers complex control options. With the integrated corridorFUNCTION which includes motion sensors in its control options, night-time brightness reduction is possible similar to that with the stepDIM function.
