GlacialLight Launches Low-Power, Eco-Friendly T8 LED Tubes

GlacialTech Inc., s launching the T8 low-power Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting tubes under the GlacialLight brand. The T8 LED tubes are an improvement as well as innovation of the existing models.

The unique advantage is that the tubes are extremely low in power consumption with under 10W for a 2ft tube, and under 20W for a 4ft tube. The T8 identically suits a G13 socket as well as individually supports four AC input voltage specs, including 100-110V, 120V, 220-240V and 277V.

The T8 features an inbuilt Over Temperature Protection (OTP) that automatically shuts down the tube at a relatively high temperature as well as starting up the tube at a relatively low temperature. When  the input voltage does not fall within its specified range, the OTP shall be triggered.  Moreover, the T8 LED tubes are designed to replace the equivalent Cathode Fluorescent Tubes (CFT) currently available in markets. Using a relatively lower wattage, the T8 has the same structure and style of traditional CFTs but delivers a brighter performance per watt, with less heat radiation and fewer pitfalls experienced by the traditional CFTs.

It is worth to mention that the patented LED driver built in the T8 tubes is one of GlacialTech's eco-friendly inventions. Unlike the conventional drivers emitting Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI, also called Radio Frequency Interference or RFI) via either electromagnetic conduction or electromagnetic radiation, GlacialTech's innovative LED driver does not interfere the effective performance of noise-sensitive electronic devices such as television sets, cell phones, AM/FM radios, medical instruments, military equipments and such.

There are no toxic gasses existing in the T8 design, and the tubes are much more robust and weatherproof. The T8 LED tubes can be used for daily basis on indoor applications, and have incorporated all the latest luminary technologies garnered from GlacialTech's unique resources that  combined years of experience in cooling systems design as well as all manners of consumer electronic device power supplies.

Specifications:
GlacialTech uses extremely high quality components designed for high brightness and long life span (min. 20,000hrs). The lumens start at over 500lm at a flux of 52-58 lm/W with 130-206 lux at 1 meter on the short 2ft version, whereas the longer 4ft version has over 1000lm also at 54-64lm/W with 212-377 lux at 1 meter. The net weight varies from 0.15kg's to 0.30kg's. These products are designed to fit into standard G13 socket assemblies, and thus replace traditional tubes without any inconvenience to the users.
