Monolithic Power Systems Announces the DC/DC Designer Tool

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MPWR), a leading fabless manufacturer of high-performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, today announces the DC/DC Designer tool.

The DC/DC Designer is a tool with a graphical user interface (GUI) that can help create and then simulate a power supply circuit tailored to a specific application. Given an MPS regulator, target performance specifications, and (optionally) key external components, the DC/DC Designer can design a circuit complete with optimal external components to best meet target specifications. Its circuit simulation then provides key performance data (such as efficiency, transient performance, etc.) and waveforms (such as ripple, switching transients, etc.). When the user is satisfied with the circuit design, the DC/DC Designer then generates a schematic, a layout guide, and a bill of materials.
