Nexxus Lighting Granted Three New Design Patents for Array Lighting

Nexxus Lighting, Inc. (NASDAQ Capital Market: NEXS) today announced that it has been issued three new design patents related to its new Array Lighting LED replacement light bulb product line. US Design Patent No. D590,077 - LIGHT (Par 30); US Design Patent No. D590,076 - LIGHT (MR16) and US Design Patent No. D590,075 - LIGHT (MR16 G-10) cover the unique fin / air flow design, overall shape and led configurations of the new Array Par 30, Array MR16 bi-pin and Array MR16 with a GU10 pin base lamps.

    
"We believe that these designs along with several other patent pending technologies related to our Array products unique 'selective heat sink - SHS technology' provide extensive intellectual property coverage for the company's new direct replacement LED product offerings used in commercial lighting applications, including down lighting, track lighting, accent lighting and retail display lighting," stated Mike Bauer, President and CEO.
  
"With several additional patents pending related to the Array Lighting product offering we are very excited to have the first three patents issue related to our product design. As solid-state lighting expands its penetration into white light general illumination applications, we feel that our Array replacement lamp line is at the forefront of the technology curve and we are excited about its growth potential even in these challenging economic times," continued Mr. Bauer.
  
Nexxus Lighting now holds 29 issued patents with 40 patents pending. Through its research and development efforts Nexxus is continually evaluating new intellectual property ideas that have the potential to be incorporated into advanced solid-state light bulbs, lighting fixtures and control systems.
