Cree announces live webcast and access information for first-quarter 2007 conference call

DURHAM, NC, Cree, Inc. (Nasdaq: CREE) invites you to a live webcast of its first quarter/fiscal year 2007 conference call with senior management to review results for the quarter ending September 24, 2006.

Date: Thursday, October 19, 2006
Earnings Released: After The Market Close
Webcast: 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time

(Note: Please log on 15 minutes prior to the start of the webcast.)

To access the webcast through the Cree, Inc. corporate website, please log on to http://www.cree.com , click on the Investor Relations tab, then click on the webcast information.

In addition, an archived version of the webcast/conference call will be available through Cree’s website two hours after the completion of the live conference call on October 19, 2006, and available through November 2, 2006.
