EPISTAR Strengthens Relationship with Partners with Core Technology & IP

EPISTAR keeps building innovating products and technologies and continues to bolster its global IP position. In addition, EPISTAR strives to strengthen the value of its Co-activation Service.

As the world continues to push for energy efficiency, lamp and luminaire manufacturers continue to innovate with new designs and concepts. LED filament technology allows for the reproduction of omni-directional incandescent quality light and aesthetics using LED dies, and industry recognition of LED filaments as a means for manufacturing SSL incandescent lamp replacements is gaining in popularity.

EPISTAR holds key intellectual property regarding the LED filament technology used in making LED filament style lamps. This patent portfolio covers Taiwan, China, United States, Europe and other territories. One example covered by the portfolio is an essential for making the LED filament which is to dispose a plurality of LEDs on a transparent carrier by an adhesive layer (shown in FIG. 1).

As a part of EPISTAR's Co-Activation service, EPISTAR not only provides competitive LED products, but also takes on patent licensing negotiation with strategic alliance partners to insure strong market support. EPISTAR expects to lead a rapid growing in LED filament style lamp market. EPISTAR will take legal action to protect rights and interests of customers, strategic alliance partners and shareholder as it is deemed necessary.
