Samsung Launches Branding Program for High-Quality LED Lighting Products

Samsung Electronics has launched an LED component branding program to help consumers select high-quality LED lighting products that use Samsung-produced, advanced LED components.

Though the lighting industry has been transitioning from traditional forms of lighting to LED, many of consumers still have a difficulty in selecting the right-quality LED lighting products. Without any awareness of the components (or ingredients) inside LED lighting products, consumers can often end up getting low-performing LED lighting products that provide only some of the advantages of the latest LED lighting technology.

Beginning this year, consumers can be assured by finding the “LED provided by Samsung” mark on LED lighting products using Samsung LED components. “LED provided by SAMSUNG” is a label that manufacturers of luminaires using Samsung LED component solutions can leverage in their marketing. Samsung’s “LED provided by SAMSUNG” branding can be applied on the surface of LED lighting fixtures, or used in packaging or promotional materials, depending on the manufacturer’s partnership level with Samsung.

The branding program will help consumers making decisions who seek to buy high-performance LED lighting products.

The “LED provided by SAMSUNG” branding will be discussed in further details at the Light+Building trade fair being held in Frankfurt, Germany, March 13th – 18th. Visit Booth B04 Hall 6.2 to learn about this new branding program of Samsung and experience many other innovative Samsung technologies and products for high-quality LED lighting solutions.

Certification Support Program:

Samsung has provided worldwide certification support to its LED lighting component customers. Establishing cooperative relationships with certification companies for the US, Korean, European and Chinese markets, the partnerships will help to minimize any difficulties that customers could encounter with varying regional certification requirements for lighting quality, safety and power efficiency, as well as simplify complex procedures, reduce time-to-market and ultimately have a positive impact on overall cost.
