Schneider Kreuznach Enters the Market for LED Technology

Schneider-Kreuznach is expanding its expertise in the area of optics to include LED illumination. In keeping with its high standards, the company is looking to design and produce customized solutions combining new levels of precision and brightness for demanding tasks. Currently, applications in the area of machine vision, medical technology and semi-conductor technology are in the pipeline. “We have already received several inquiries and are planning to offer LED illumination systems that fully capture the potential of our high-precision photographic lenses,” said Dr. Josef Staub, CEO of the Schneider Group.
 
The company’s product designers are exploring new ways of overcoming mechanical and thermal hurdles. The aim is to increase the level of efficiency so that a higher performance can be achieved with fewer LED. In addition to the visible range, there are plans for UV and infrared applications. The first products are expected to come onto the market in the course of the year.
