Tridonic and NMB-Minebea-GmbH Sign Partnership Agreement

Tridonic, a world-leading supplier of lighting technology, and NMB-Minebea-GmbH, which is part of the MinebeaMitsumi group, the major producer of machinery components and electronics devices, have signed a contract to form a strategic partnership. The partnership aims to develop intelligent outdoor lighting solutions for Smart Cities.

Tridonic has been serving the global luminaire market with its lighting and electronics technology for more than 60 years, as the technology company of the Zumtobel Group. Its comprehensive portfolio includes an array of lighting hardware and software for different fields of application. The outdoor lighting portfolio includes LED modules and drivers as well as sensors and surge protection devices.

NMB-Minebea-GmbH is part of the MinebeaMitsumi group

Paradox Engineering, a MinebeaMitsumi group company, has taken a pioneering role in the fields of network infrastructures and urban applications. Cooperation will enable both companies to further expand their networks and enlarge the fields of application of their products.

Intelligent lighting solutions for Smart Cities

Based on Tridonic's lighting technology and Paradox Engineering's revolutionary connectivity platform and applications ecosystem, the partnership aims to provide integrated Smart City services. For this purpose, hardware and software from both partners will be aligned so that they can easily be operated as a single system. The system, which will be based on an open standard and comply with Zhaga/DALI standards, will form a basis for self-commissioning projects as well as for turn-key solutions for cities.

Fully integrated solution based on open standards

With Smart Urban Network, Paradox Engineering developed a revolutionary connectivity platform and extensive applications ecosystem.
