Cree XLamp® XB-D LEDs utilize Cree's latest generation of silicon carbide-based LED chips to optimize performance and dramatically lower system cost in any illumination application. Built on Cree's SC³ Technology™ Platform, the XB-D LEDs output the same brightness as the industry-leading XLamp XP-E LEDs in the industry's smallest lighting-class packaging at 1W in a 2.45 x 2.45mm footprint. The XB-D LED is 48% smaller than the XLamp XP package and ideal for lighting applications where high lumen density and compact light sources are required. This combination of performance and size enables better color mixing and lower system cost. The innovations behind this next generation of lighting-class LEDs can enable significantly lower prices for LED lighting products by using fewer LEDs and optics, and substantially smaller circuit boards than current designs.
