Everlight Releases UVC3535NUB Series for Medical Treatment, Water and Air Purification/Sterilization

Electronics Co. Ltd, a leading player in the global LED and optoelectronics industry, releases its new ELUC3535NUB series of UVC products for the maintenance of life quality and health, using the epitaxial and flip chips on the sapphire substrate to guarantee quality and sterilization.

UV rays with short wavelengths and strong energy can trigger chemical reactions and change matter, when exposed to radiation. Popular markets for UV applications are curing, medical treatment, photocatalyst and counterfeit testing. Recently a rapid growth of demand in the markets for UV technology can be seen, especially in air purification and the sterilization of standing or running water. Everlight has invested in LED technology for many years and has developed UVA and UVC products. There are already existing 2016, 3535 and 4545 packages for UVA (UV black light radiation, 360-410 nm) including low to high wattages and several kinds of emitting angles for individual customer options.

Everlight now also offers the new ELUC3535NUB UVC LED Series (3.5x3.5x1.4 mm), packaged in inorganic quartz glass with a wavelength of 280 nm. The product series covers three different intensity levels (2 mW, 10 mW and 30 mW), which makes it ideal for various different applications like medical treatment, water or air purification and sterilization of germs, viruses or mold. Furthermore, the ELUC3535NUB LEDs can be used for deodorizing and bactericidal treatment, when installed for instance in a modern smart toilet. A similar effect can also be achieved by using our UVA3535 (1.8 W, 120゚) LEDs in combination with Titanium dioxide (TiO2).
