Enabling Complete Control of Smart Lighting Anywhere

Samsung’s Smart Device is comprised of smart lighting controllers that support wireless connectivity within any major smart lighting system. It includes Smart Lighting Module (SLM), Smart Sensor Module (SSM), Smart Control Module (SCM) and Smart Bridge Module (SBM). The Smart Devices adapt to light automatically, using sensors that detect the presence of people and the amount of light in any given area at any given time. With its remote control features, energy waste can be minimized.

The Smart Device is Samsung’s world-class answer to intelligent, interconnected lighting. It is comprised of a group of thoroughly tested, smart lighting controllers that will support wireless connectivity within any major smart lighting system. It is divided into 4 product categories: Smart Lighting Module (SLM), Smart Sensor Module (SSM), Smart Control Module (SCM) and Smart Bridge Module (SBM).

To minimize energy consumption, the Smart Devices from Samsung adapt to light automatically, using sensors that detect the presence of people and the amount of light in any given area at any given time. With its remote control features, energy waste can be minimized. Also, the Samsung Smart Devices are simple to install. Wireless connectivity based on Bluetooth technology eliminates the need for wire cabling and gateway installation.

Smart Lighting Module (SLM) allows straightforward, uncomplicated setting up of a connected lighting system by simply interconnecting existing drivers.
•    Develops an interconnected lighting system without altering the existing dimming fixture design
•    Improves system quality and reduces time-to-market for smart lighting manufacturers
•    Allows multi-phone wireless control by using BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy)
•    Supports express and secure OTA (Over-the-Air) updates via a BLE mesh network
•    Includes BLE Beacons available for optional indoor positioning or marketing, with additional support applications

Smart Sensor Module (SSM) has been designed for a variety of smart scenarios by combining SLM capabilities.
•    Integrates 4 sensors that enable passive IR motion detection, daylight harvesting using a RGB photo sensor, and temperature and humidity control
•    Supports express and secure OTA (Over-the-Air) updates via a BLE mesh network
•    Includes BLE Beacons available for optional indoor positioning or marketing, with additional support applications

Smart Control Module (SCM) is a wireless multi-function controller with integrated sensors and a button switch.
•    Features a highly flexible, cost-effective architecture that is functional with SLM and SSM for wireless lighting control and energy management.
•    Supports both manual and automatic controls, to maximize the tremendous convenience of smart lighting.
•    Includes portable and Bluetooth-embedded dimmable switches using batteries.
•    Offers added motion and daylight sensors

Smart Bridge Module (SBM) transforms Bluetooth into Wi-Fi signaling, and enables Smart Devices to connect to the Samsung Smart Lighting Platform Cloud.
•    Can be plugged in anywhere
•    Connects to a Wi-Fi access point, securing long-distance system control
•    Supports Smart Device firmware updates via mesh OTA (Over-the-Air)
•    Allows AI assistance in controlling lighting devices linked by a bridge

The Smart Device is now in mass production.
