Mean Well Extends the Range of Their Circular Shape LED Power Supplies for Bay Lighting

After launching HBG-160 (160W) series, circular shape LED power supplies for bay lighting, MEAN WELL further introduced HBG-100 (96W) and HBG-240 (240W) series, to fulfill the various illumination demands. Featuring with circular design, these two new LED power drivers are easy to be assembled and perfectly fit in with the mechanical structure of high/low bay lighting fixtures. Fully potted by glue, their aluminum enclosure can be tightly assembled to the heat sink of lighting fixtures and provide excellent heat dissipation ability, which solve the mechanism limits of old style bay lighting systems using slim shape LED power supplies. In order to withstand the indoor or outdoor harsh environment, the newly designed aluminum-molding case with fully glue-potting (IP65/67 structure) can provide excellent heat dissipation ability and mechanical strength.

Designed with up-to-date high efficiency topology, HBG-100/240 series possess up to 91.5% (HBG-100) and 93.5% (HBG-240) of high efficiency and can be cooled by free air convection from -40°C to +60°C ambient temperature. As long as the temperature on the top of the enclosure can be controlled under 70°C, the power supply service life could be guaranteed up to 40,000 hours. They can be assembled with LED modules, heat sink modules, and lampshades to easily form a bay light and also have different installation alternatives, such as chain type, hanger type, or metal frame type, which fulfill the various requirements of lighting fixtures. Besides standard functions of protections for short circuit, over voltage, overload, and over temperature, these power units have 5 years warranty and provide “three-in-one dimming“ function (B type models). Comply with global certificates per UL/ CUL/ ENEC/ CB/ CE, the user’s safety can be greatly guaranteed. Suitable applications include LED high/low bay lighting, mining lighting, stage lighting, LED spot lighting, and outdoor architectural lighting.
