SL Power Introduces Long Life Highly Efficient LED Drivers

SL Power Electronics, a division of SL Industries and an industry leader in the design and manufacture of rugged, highly reliable power supplies, today introduces its new LE Series of LED drivers. Available in 10 models from 75 to 300 watts, the constant current LED drivers enable highly efficient LED lighting for applications that require more than eight hours per day of operating life. Featuring a wide input voltage range of 90 to 305 VAC, up to 95 percent efficiency and the ability to survive lightning strikes, the LE-Series have UL 8750 and EN61347 safety approvals with an IP67 rating and are housed in a waterproof metal case in order to withstand hot and cold temperatures in outside installations.

Managing power to an LED or string of LEDs is vital in order to maximize LED life. The new SL Power drivers increase LED reliability and reduce operational costs which is a prime goal of the Design Lights Consortium® that promotes quality performance and energy efficiencies for commercial sector lighting throughout North America.

"We’re pleased to introduce our new LE Series LED drivers that bring a high level of versatility and operational efficiencies for LED applications," said Maggie Nadjmi, Product Manager for SL Power. "Whether for municipal lighting projects, high bay lighting for facilities, architectural signage or theater lighting, our new LED drivers can meet the most demanding environments without sacrificing efficiencies or performance – significantly increasing overall ROI for lighting projects."

Featuring dimming control (on constant current models), overvoltage, short circuit and over temperature protection, the LE Series LED drivers are ideal for users who require lower energy costs and higher operating life. Fully tested by third party agencies for compliance to the stringent EMC requirements, the models have up to 450,000 hours of calculated Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and feature a minimum 3-year warranty.

SL Power’s LE Series is available now through SL Power’s extensive distribution sales channels. For more information on SL Power’s internal and external LE Series LED driver family, contact a local SL Power representative who can be found on the SL Power Web site at http://www.slpower.com.
