Philips' Second Generation of Fortimo LED Twistable Downlight Module (TDLM) Offers a 10-25% System Energy Efficiency Upgrade

Fortimo LED Twistable DLM 1100 lm (Zhaga certified) and 2000 lm second generation modules offer energy efficiency and quality white light. The Fortimo LED Twistable DLM is a complete system, consisting of a module with integrated driver and lamp holder, and adheres to industry standards. The 1100lm module is the second LED module from Philips that is Zhaga certified. The Fortimo LED Twistable DLM is ideal to build into luminaires for use in general down lighting applications and is therefore often used as the alternative for 50 W LV halogen and the 2x 18 W / 2 x 26W CFL downlights. The new generation can simply be placed onto the existing lamp holder which was installed with the first generation of the Fortimo LED Twistable downlight module.

Also the existing heatsink and reflector can be maintained.

The energy efficiency upgrades of both the 1100 and 2000 lumen Twistable DLM modules range  from 71-76 lm/W. And as these modules are part of the Fortimo future proof promise, this means that the energy efficacy upgrade of the LEDs is done without changing the dimensions, shape, lumen output or optical performance of the system.
As the modules are easy to install and service, both in new and existing twistable downlight luminaires, they are ideal for semi professional applications and the wholesale channel.  There is not even a need to remove the reflector or open the ceiling.

Elize Sturkenboom, Philips Product manager Downlights, OEM Lighting Sources & Electronics said: “The second generation of the 1100 and 2000 lumen Fortimo LED Twistable DLM are an example of how Philips continuously ensures that the latest developments in energy efficiency and quality of light are being implemented in our products, offering our customers the best options for their applications”.

The 1100 and 2000 lumen modules are now commercially available in two colour temperatures 3000 K and 4000 K. Additional information can be found at www.philips.com/fortimo.
