Essemtec Presents Innovations at SMT Nuremberg 2012

At the upcoming SMT/Hybrid/Packaging 2012 exhibition in Nuremberg, Essemtec will present several innovations, including Scorpion, the highly flexible dispensing system, as well as two new printers for low-/mid-volume sizes.

Essemtec will highlight the new dispensing machine Scorpion that was introduced to the public for the first time during productronica 2011. Due to its outstanding price-performance ratio, the Scorpion is among the best dispensers in the world. Its accuracy of +/- 25 μm is extraordinary and it can dispense up to 100,000 dots per hour. The H-Drive features precision linear measuring devices to guarantee highest accuracy for demanding tasks. It is designed for high loads and holds up to four independent dispensing heads.

In the printer field, Essemtec will exhibit Fino, its newly introduced semiautomatic printer with vision for small to midsize volumes. Intelligent control and the possibility of an alignment per two vision cameras combine high-quality technologies within a small footprint and a 450 x 500 mm printing area. All printing parameters are software-controlled and can be saved if required.

Another innovation among Essemtec’s printers is the semiautomatic fine-pitch printer Kea. The Kea combines two successful technological concepts in a single machine: the sliding print table for easy loading and the same software-controlled processing as automatic printers. Kea also features vision for automatic recognition of reference marks, pads or edges.

Other new and further developments concern the new 8 mm and 12 mm hyQ-Feeder for the pick-and-place machines Cobra and Paraquda. With an indexing time of only 60 ms, they increase the machine’s placement speed by more than 25 percent. Additionally the software release ePlace 4.0 will be demonstrated at during SMT. The software allows for improved, easier machine operation.

Visit Essemtec at booth 203 in Hall 7 at the upcoming SMT/Hybrid/Packaging 2012 and experience innovative technologies, products and solutions.
