Edison Opto Introduces Selective SSL Bin Groups in Accordance to ANSI C78.377

In response to the latest industry chromaticity standard for solid-state lighting, Edison Opto has introduced the SSL bin groups in accordance to the 8 ranges defined by ANSI C78.377.

In this rapid industry, the quality and efficiency of LED applications upgrade from time to time.
To qualified and unified all products of LED lightings, many industry standards, including ENERGY STAR, has adopted the ANSI C78.377 bin group guideline to help consumers defined it.

For warm white LEDs, the corresponding bin groups are E10, E20 and E30 with nominal CCT at 2,700K, 3,000K and 3,500K respectively. Whereas the corresponding bin groups for neutral white are E40 and E50 with nominal CCT at 4,000K and 4,500K respectively. Bin groups E60, E70 and E80 with nominal CCT at 5,000K, 5,700K and 6,000K are available for cool white.

The nominal CCT quadrangles (E10~E80) in the figure are defined as per ANSI C78.377 standard, which specifies the range of chromaticities for general SSL products and makes sure the chromaticities of the products can be communicated to consumers. This standard is for general indoor LED based lighting applications, not including outdoor applications. In addition to their original bin groups, Edison Opto offers selective ANSI C78.377 bin group to meet this guideline.
