Golden DRAGON Plus for Brightness Plus - Brighter in All White Tones

The integrated silicon lens on the Golden DRAGON Plus lets even more light out. The new generation of single-chip LEDs typically achieves a 15% increase in brightness compared with the standard Golden DRAGON.

Like all the new LEDs from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, the Golden DRAGON Plus benefits from the latest chip technology. Thanks to the integrated silicon lens it has been possible to increase the efficiency with which light is extracted considerably. The optimized silicon encapsulation, the high-performance thin-film chip, the perfect thermal coupling between the chip and the package and the excellent heat removal properties of the SMT package all contribute to the increase in brightness. The high-intensity single-chip LED can handle currents up to 1 A in continuous operation and will last up to 50,000 hours under the special application conditions. Its solder pad is the same as that for the other members of the DRAGON family. The LED is also suitable for standard solder processes. The maximum barrier junction temperature is 125°C; the thermal resistance is typically 9 K/W (maximum 11 K/W).

Strong light ideal for external optics:
Golden DRAGON Plus is available in cold white, neutral white and warm white. Its beam characteristics make it ideal for secondary optics. This means that there are virtually no limits to the range of applications for this light source in general lighting. It is suitable for street lighting, tunnel lighting, all indoor lighting from reading lights to recessed ceiling light, display lighting, furniture lighting, decorative lighting and designer luminaires. It can already be used for example as a replacement for fluorescent lamps in LinearLight arrangements.
