ETC to Unveil New Source Four LED™ and Sensor3 Power Control™ at USITT 2012

Expect crowds at the ETC areas: The much-anticipated Source Four LED will be debuted officially in the U.S. at USITT 2012 in Long Beach. The new fixture—combining the best of the popular ETC Source Four® with the best of ETC’s Selador Desire™ LED technology—produces a sharp, clean beam of focusable light or a smooth wash while providing brilliant color changes and even more energy-saving efficiency.

Showgoers will see the three versions of Source Four LED: the Lustr+™, Daylight™ and Tungsten™. Like ETC’s Selador Desire Lustr+, the Source Four LED Lustr+ offers a vast palette of colors and tints, thanks to the exclusive x7 Color System™. The Source Four LED Tungsten and Source Four LED Daylight produce maximum brightness at the respective warm (3000K) and cool white (5600K) color temperatures. Each offers the same projection-quality beam.

Layers of light:
At their blackbox-style USITT booth, #920, ETC will demonstrate how ‘layering light’ in hybrid rigs—mixing conventional and LED fixtures—produces the highest quality lighting results. The blackbox presentation will also show the power of ETC Rigging’s new Prodigy™ variable-speed hoists and Foundation™ controls.

Sensor3™—LEDs, dimming, and beyond:

At Booth #800, USITT showgoers will see ETC’s Sensor3™—the new power control system that goes beyond dimming to handle the latest fixture loads on the market and those yet to come as entertainment lighting rapidly changes. Sensor3 manages the mix of conventional tungsten fixtures, arc light sources, and new solid-state fixtures in today’s hybrid lighting rigs. Integral to Sensor3: the new Sensor3 ThruPower™ modules, which are capable of dimming, relay switching and constant power.

“Show Us Your ETC” student-video winners announcement:
Students who attend ETC’s exclusive annual student session (after show hours, 5:30pm, Friday, March 30th, in ETC’s blackbox area, #920) will view the videos that won the “Show Us Your ETC” video contest. From more than 50 great submissions (www.showusyouretc.com), three top picks will be announced—with each of the three schools winning an Eos®-line lighting control console. ETC will also break the news on Facebook, Twitter and on the ETC website that day.

See ETC at USITT booth areas #800 and #920, March 29th-31st, at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center, Long Beach, CA.
