Halley - Italian Excellence for Industrial Lighting

Niteko is glad to present its last jewel, Halley, an industrial reflector with IP65 protection degree and insulation Class II, a LED technological heart inside a traditional shape, with reduced dimensions, easy to install and characterized by a particular heat dissipation system (patent pending) under the name ACS (Active Cooling System). The smart thermal management system of Halley LED lamp is based on the application of a special low flow axial fan with IP68 protection degree, which air flow, is forced to cross all zones of a particular heat sink.

The particular shape of dissipator and the location of the axial fan allow to obtain, in addition, a drastic reduction of the noise compared to traditional forced convection solutions.

An electronic control system manages and changes the fan flow rate according to the temperature of diode LED junction in order to maximize the luminous flux and the life span.

The heat sink, has a black anodized protective surface and is made on extruded aluminium in order to reduce thermal resistance. Other main features are the protective screen on PMMA and the  optical unit (including dissipator) thermally separated from electronic drivers compartment. Compared to other lamps in the same field using a single LED body (COB), Halley distributes several LEDs at the right distance so as to ensure the protection from overheating and to guarantee a right distribution of the light. Moreover the shape and the features of the reflector body enhance luminous efficiency.

Thanks to all these features is possible to maintain 110 - 120 lm/W also when lamp is hot.
