Intematix Awarded Sixth Patent for Remote Phosphor LED Lighting Designs

Intematix Corporation, a leading innovator of patented phosphor materials and components for high-quality LED lighting, has been awarded a sixth remote phosphor patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Intematix’s new patent will help designers develop a new generation of high-efficiency LED lighting fixtures. This latest patent marks the fourth remote phosphor patent Intematix has received this year. The company, which is a leader in the commercialization of remote phosphor technology, has another 85 remote phosphor patents pending worldwide in addition to the six issued U.S. patents.

Intematix’s ChromaLit™ collection leverages a phosphor composite combined with a blue LED light source for use by designers of indoor and outdoor applications.  All of the company’s ChromaLit products provide LED manufacturers with unparalleled design freedom, more efficient manufacturing processes, exceptional light quality and up to 30 percent higher system performance.

With its comprehensive portfolio of remote phosphor intellectual property (IP), Intematix can provide lighting manufacturers with competitive advantages in the development of innovative LED systems for general lighting applications. Some of these competitive advantages include LED bulbs and fixtures that require less energy, and provide truer colors and higher brightness.  U.S. Patent No. 7,972,030 entitled “Light Emitting Diode (LED) Based Lighting Systems” covers remote phosphor applications for lamps, down lights, lighting modules, desk, floor standing, wall sconces, spot, outdoor and accent lighting fixtures.
