OSRAM Opto Semiconductors Releases Application Notes for Brilliant Mix – Professional White for General Lighting

Principles of color mixing: The Blue-yellow concept is the standrd solution for phosphor converted white light, the "Brilliant-Mix" concept uses a green shifted phosphor concersion and adds amber to generate white light with high CRI
This paper was prepared to provide a first look at the new concept and the way LED lighting works. In addition to comparing the standard white concepts, it includes two proposals for controlling Brilliant Mix applications.
You can find the PDF here with all of Osram's Application Notes.

Remark of the editor:
The “Brilliant Mix” approach from Osram is one of a number of variations that are mostly protected by IP.
The main difference to other similar solutions is the utilization of an amber LED instead of a red LED.
