The Future of Lighting Design Needs You

The Trends in Lighting (TiL) conference successfully launched last year. A combined 1800 delegates joined leading light experts from international companies including Zaha Hadid Architects, Amazon, Philips Lighting, Osram and Zumtobel Group.

This year TiL returns with a new focused ambition, it is dedicated to bridging the gap between technologies and design to reinvigorate concepts of lighting designers, architects, engineers, consultants, planners and investors so they can collectively realize the full potential and value of lighting design.

Digitization and connectivity have revolutionized lighting design, transforming it into a multidisciplinary service, one that plays an integral part in architecture, aesthetics, behavioral sciences and technologies.

Today, lighting designs must adopt a human centric approach. Designs for smart buildings and cities must be agile to keep up with rapidly changing user behaviors and new functionality requirements. By bringing together the most fascinating innovators, inventors and industry leaders, TiL will inspire and encourage attendees to build a future for lighting design that is relevant and secure.

The organization behind TiL 2108, delivering this ambitions goal, is Luger Research; the team behind the globally successful LpS series of conferences and the widely respected LED professional Review publication. With over 15 years dedicated to technologies in lighting, this group of experts recognize the need to bring the two worlds of technology and design together to open up the dialogue and allow the experts to explore the future of lighting design together.

A panel of experts carefully selects the papers for the TiL 2018 conference. If you want to be considered for a speaker session, submissions can be made via the TiL website until 16 February.
