With an increasingly affluent and sophisticated consumer base in emerging markets, such products are seeing growing demand. Avenue of Chandeliers allows exhibitors to make a major impact as their glittering offerings draw buyers' attention. And World of Professional & Industrial Lighting will cover a broad range of products including stage lights, emergency and safety lights, architectural lighting and other situation-specific applications, with LED options.

Enlightening Events

Different seminars and buyer forums are organized to keep traders abreast of market information. Co-organised with the Electronics Division of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and Hong Kong Electronics & Technologies Association, the Asian Lighting Forum covers subjects such as global market trends in lighting product development and LED technology advancements & applications. In a range of informative events at the fair, buyers will share market insights at forums on business opportunities in different markets, and industry representatives will give the latest update on lighting design trends in terms of fashion and function.

In order to enhance the quality of Hong Kong lighting products and encourage new ideas, HKTDC has organised the 9th Hong Kong Lighting Design Competition as a concurrent event of the Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) 2016. The theme of this year’s competition is “Mindful Minimalism”, which aims to eliminate all the unnecessary elements and leaving only the ‘core’ essentials of light. Contestant’s designs should present purity, functionality and usability to the user in a whole new experience of light.
