Ceramic Coated Aluminum Fin Heatsink Improves Heat Dissipation to Allow 16.5W for A19 LED Lamps

Taiwan Puritic Corporation(“TPC”) has successfully improved the Aluminum Fin heatsink of 10W A19 to be upgraded to 16.5W A19 via the state-of-the-art ceramic coating and it can save significant cost.

In recent yeas, TPC concentrates on Green Energy in order to have environmentally friendly products .The issue of heatsink plays an important role in LED and Solar Battery. The testing report of SGS shows that the heatsink of TPC can increase Luminous Efficiencies  and Light Extraction Efficiency. The ceramic coating can significantly decrease the temperature of junction, power module and lamp shell which can lead to extend the lifetime and reliability of LED.

Light metal, through surface ceramic treatment, can be applied in different fields. Along with the advancement in technology, light weight requirement has become indispensible in lots of products, therefore, how to protect in time and increase the functionality of light metal has become an important topic. Light metal is usually used in optoelectronic lighting field (indoor and outdoor lighting, road lamp and stage lamp, etc.), packaging components (mechanical driller, mobile phone and PC, etc.), severe environment (oil extraction from the sea, mining under the ground, semiconductor manufacturing, space environment and medical industry, etc.), or extreme sports (for example, racing car, bicycle, or heavy motorcycle, etc.).

This technology has used liquid treatment technology to force the metal to self-generate high crystallinity ceramic layer, that is, it associates excellent characteristics of metal and ceramics.

Technical Charactristics:
1.Thermal conduction:Metal has very excellent thermal conduction property, and ceramics owns very good heat dissipation property through micro-hole.
2.Heat Dissipation:Cceramics formed by this process is of porous material, hence, surface area can be greatly increased and heat dissipation capability can be greatly enhanced.
3.High Power、Hardness & anti-corrosion:Metal composite ceramic material can be applied in high power and high wattage electronic and optoelectronic fields. Excellent electric insulation, hardness (>1000Hv, according to different oxide layer thickness) and anti-corrosion (>48hr salt test, according to different oxide layer thickness) of ceramic film make it possible to be applied in severe environment and general deposited film for tool.
4.Color:According to different compound on the oxide layer, the color formed is also different. In the initial stage, the development could be focused on white, black, dark green, dark red and yellow red, etc. Corresponding effect could be achieved for casting object that is difficult to be surface treated.

At present, TPC is focusing on the application of LED market and seeking strategic partners for not only LED but also different application. We not only offer ODM for the design of housing and heatsink but also have the service of ceramic coating for Aluminium, Magnesium, copper and other compound metal in order to increase performance and decrease cost.

TPC uses electrolysis capacitance with PF>85% and LED from TG, Nichia and Citizen which can longer 5000 hours of LED Lifetime. It is welcome to provide the sample of A19 for testing and apply the certification and authentication of UL, CE or other safety requirement.
