Connectors for LED–Applications in THT–Technology with White Insulator

The steadily proliferating lighting concepts using LED technology call for connectors that rely on a nearly white insulator. Black insulators will absorb a certain amount of light by their very nature. This can lead to a lighting design where shadow effects may emerge in the connector area.

Fischer Elektronik has addressed this problem with a new connector series for LED inline modules in THT technology, offering 2.5 mm grid male and female headers in the established THT solder version. These headers are available in two- and four-pole variants, with further pole counts upon request. In addition, the product range features matching mains connectors for supplying the LED system with power by means of a cable connection. These cables can either be rigid or flexible, in a size of AWG 24 - 20.

The connectors are delivered in a "tape and reel" (TR) packing to enable efficient assembly. The cases have a robust and form-fitting design.
