Postponed: Light + Building To Be Held in September 2020
In view of the increasing spread of the coronavirus in Europe and after intensive consultations, Messe Frankfurt has decided to postpone Light + Building. The world's leading trade fair for lighting and building-services technology will now be held in Frankfurt am Main between the middle and end of September 2020. The cooperation partners of the international trade fair, ZVEI and ZVEH, support this decision.

Another LED Manufacturer Drops Its Lighting Unit: Cree to Sell Lighting Business to Ideal Industries
Cree, Inc. announces the execution of a definitive agreement to sell its Lighting Products business unit ("Cree Lighting"), which includes the LED lighting fixtures, lamps and corporate lighting solutions business for commercial, industrial and consumer applications, to IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC. for approximately $310 million before tax impacts, including up-front and contingent consideration and the assumption of certain liabilities. Cree expects to receive an initial cash payment of $225 million, subject to purchase price adjustments, and has the potential to receive a targeted earn-out payment of approximately $85 million based on an adjusted EBITDA metric for Cree Lighting over a 12-month period beginning two years after the transaction closes.

Delta Acquires Lighting Solution Brand Amerlux To Enhance its IoT-based Green Solutions for Smart Buildings and Cities
Delta Electronics, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Delta"), a global provider of power and thermal management solutions, and Amerlux, LLC (hereinafter referred to as "Amerlux"), a U.S.-based LED architectural lighting solutions company, today announced the signing of a definitive agreement pursuant to which Delta Electronics (Netherlands) B.V., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Delta, will acquire 100% of Amerlux's interests for USD 90,000,000 (approx. NTD 2,769,300). The transaction is expected to close during the second quarter of 2019. The aforementioned agreement includes an earn-out mechanism in which Delta will pay an additional pre-established amount for the transaction should Amerlux's 2019 EBITDA(1) and revenue reach a predetermined target.
