EurekAlert - Annunces: Impurities Enhance Polymer LED Efficiencies New research published in EPJ B reveals that the higher-than-expected efficiency of PLEDs can be reached through interactions between triplet excitons, and impurities embedded in their polymer layers. Molecular dynamics simulations have shown that the mysteriously high efficiency of polymer LEDs arises from interactions between triplet excitons in their polymer chains, and unpaired electrons in their molecular impurities. LUXEON 3030 HE Plus Deep Dimming: Uniform Dimming To 1% Lumileds introduced the first LED engineered for architectural applications that require uniform light output through the entire dimming range and operating conditions. The new LUXEON 3030 HE Plus Deep Dimming mid-power LED is designed for LED to LED flux uniformity across the entire dimming curve – down to 1% - that is required to achieve consistent visual performance. From full intensity above nominal current of 65 mA to 1% intensity at 0.65 mA, every LED will provide the same flux performance in the application. Key to the performance is forward voltage variance of just 0.10 V which simplifies driver design and compatibility. The single 3 SDCM color bin ensures color consistency at any CCT. We have known him since he was appointed Secretary General at Zhaga at the beginning of 2014. Since then he was always in charge at Philips Lighting, now Signify, in some capacity, also representing the company in the Connected Lighting Alliance.
