Marl International and Bivar Create Global Opto Alliance with Manufacturing on Three Continents
California-based LED lighting manufacturer Bivar Inc and UK-based Marl International have formed an international opto-electronics partnership with manufacturing facilities in North America, Europe and Asia and a portfolio of approximately 24,000 high performance LED and light pipe products. OLED revenue has been driven mainly by display applications (smartphones.) but the industry is now targeting the lighting market based on the technology specificities in terms of design (form factor) and efficiency. This corresponds to a level of performance that has been achieved up to three years only under laboratory conditions.
