Foxsemicon Aims to Commercialize High-Power LEDs in March or April
Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry) affiliated LED maker, Foxsemicon Integrated Technology (FITI), aims to commercialize its high-power LEDs that have a 100 lm/w emission efficiency this March or April and the company expects to increase its LED light efficiency to 150 lm/w by 2010, helping the cost of using LED street lamps become half the cost of high pressure sodium lamp solutions, according to the company. CRS Electronics Starts Mass Distribution of Two New LED General Lighting Products
Welland Ontario based CRS Electronics launched two new LED (light emitting diode) general lighting products into the Canadian marketplace. The first is the CRS MR16 LED luminaire manufactured by CRS Electronics, the second a LED downlight (often used to replace Halogen units) from LLF based in Morrisville, North Carolina and now distributed by CRS in Canada.
