The 2019 LpS & TiL Award Winners: Celebrating the Complete Spectrum of Light
It is a great pleasure for the LpS and TiL organization committee to announce the award winners for 2019. For the second time in a row, after the traditional cruise on the lake from Bregenz to Lindau, the gala dinner at the Eilgut Halle has proven to being a great place for the LpS & TiL award ceremony. There were 8 award categories covering ground-breaking scientific research through to solutions, designs and innovative applications to celebrate the complete spectrum of light. In addition, this year in celebration of the 75th issue of LED professional Review magazine 6 people were honored for their significant contribution and influence on LpR Magazine.

Demonstration at LpS Shows Zhaga-D4i's Plug-and-Play Interoperability of Streetlighting
Plug-and-play interoperability between luminaires and sensors and communication modules is an essential requirement for Smart City lighting. This has been the primary motivation for the collaboration between the Zhaga Consortium and the Digital Illumination Interface Alliance (DiiA) over the upcoming Zhaga-D4i specifications. Both organisations are therefore proud to announce that booth C17 at the LED professional Symposium in Bregenz showcased the world's first Zhaga-D4i interoperability demonstration.

Osram Sells the SITECO Luminaires Business to Stern Stewart Capital
Osram has found a new owner for the Siteco luminaires business in Stern Stewart Capital. Stern Stewart Capital intends to continue the current transformation approach. Separation from Osram gives Siteco entrepreneurial freedom. The cost situation is also improved with the elimination of previous Group structures. With the sale of the luminaires business, Osram is continuing its transformation to a high-tech company.

Pre-Registration for Visitors Begins at LED Expo Thailand + Light ASEAN 2019
After having conducted six highly successful editions of LED Expo Thailand, MEX Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd. and Impact Exhibition Management Co. Ltd, are all set to host the 7th edition from June 27-29, 2019 in Bangkok. Zhaga Confirms Plan to Transfer Book 18 to IEC
The Zhaga Consortium has confirmed its plan to transfer Book 18 Ed. 2.0 to IEC, after the completion of the specification expected by mid-2019 and approval by the General Assembly. This Book describes a smart interface for outdoor luminaires and specifies power, communication and mechanical aspects. The decision is following the already ongoing transfers of Books 1,7,10,12 and 14.
