Haitz’s Law, which is the equivalent for LEDs and lighting what Moore’s Law is for transistors and integrated circuits, provided the roadmap for LED-based lighting Dr. Roland Haitz, a pioneer of the solid-state lighting revolution and an engine of innovation throughout his career, has passed away at the age of 80 at his home in Portola Valley, California.
